What’s New for 2025…

New Benefits Carrier: To enhance the claims reimbursement process, customer service and the overall employee experience, we will transition our benefit plans to Sun Life.

 

Health/Vision and Dental

  • Sun Life policy number: 150989
  • Plan options and coverage levels will remain the same: Bronze, Silver and Gold.
  • Gender affirmation coverage is available to employees enrolled in the medical plan and any eligible dependents (age 18 or older) covered under the plan, up to a lifetime maximum of $25,000. Plan members must apply and be approved by Sun Life for coverage before utilizing the benefit. Learn more in the Gender Affirmation Coverage Brochure and FAQ.
  • For Dental, orthodontics maximums will carry over.
  • For Vision, balances will carry over.

Health/Vision & Dental Premiums

S&P Global will continue to cover the majority of the costs associated with your health/vision and dental coverage. However, due to rising healthcare expenses, a modest premium payment will be required for the Gold Health and Dental plans. We acknowledge that any increase in costs can be challenging, and we have worked diligently to minimize the impact by maintaining 100% company-paid coverage for the Silver and Bronze plans.

  • For the Gold Health and Dental plan, the cost will be $7.50 per pay period for single coverage and $18.75 per pay period for family coverage. Click here to view the payroll deductions for all possible Health and Dental plan combinations.
  • For Bronze and Silver plans: Premiums will be employer-paid.

Flex Credit Changes: Bronze Plans and Opt Out

There will be adjustments to the flex credits associated with the Bronze plans and for those opting out of health and dental coverage:

  • Flex credits for Bronze plans will increase from $1,450 to $2,000 per plan year.
  • Flex credits for opting out will increase from $1,500 to $2,500 per plan year.
  • To opt out of health and dental coverage, you must provide proof of coverage through your spouse's insurance.




Insurances - Core and Optional Benefits

During the open enrollment period, Sun Life will eliminate the proof of health requirement for Optional Life Insurance and Optional Critical Illness for both employees and their spouses. This change applies to coverage up to a specified limit, as detailed below:

  • Employee Optional Life: $100,000 in coverage.
  • Spousal Optional Life: $10,000 in coverage.
  • Employee Optional Critical Illness: $50,000 in coverage.
  • Spousal Optional Critical Illness: $20,000 in coverage.

Premiums are based on age, gender and smoker/non-smoker.




Long Term Disability

  •  Long Term Disability (LTD) non-evidence maximum will increase from $12,000 to $13,000.




Retirement Plan

  • Sun Life will remain the Retirement Plan provider.
  • There are no changes to the Defined Contribution Pension Plan.




Benefits Administration

  • Benefits Administration will move to Sun Life AdminPlus.
  • The Sun Life AdminPlus system is used to capture your elections during new hire enrollment, life events and annual open enrollment.
  • Sun Life AdminPlus is where you obtain your benefit cards, submit claims and view your coverage and balances once enrolled in the benefit program.

Open Enrollment is March 10 – 21, 2025 for coverage effective April 1, 2025.
